As we delve into this gift, let us uncover its significance, explore its biblical foundations, and discover the joy that comes from serving others. ## Before we begin, let us join our hearts in prayer: Gracious Father, we come before you with hearts ready to learn and serve. Open our eyes to the needs around us and ignite a passion within us to serve others with love and humility. Teach us through your Word and empower us with your Spirit. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen. ### I. The Call to Serve Service lies at the heart of Christ's message and example. In Mark 10:45, Jesus Himself declares, "For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." Jesus humbled Himself, setting aside His glory, and served humanity by sacrificially giving His life. As His followers, we are called to follow His example and serve others with love and humility. Galatians 5:13 reminds us, "For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another." Our service should flow from a heart filled with love, genuine care, and a desire to meet the needs of others. ### II. The Power of Love in Service Love is the driving force behind genuine service. When we serve others with love, we reflect God's character and extend His love to those around us. 1 Corinthians 16:14 urges us, "Let all that you do be done in love."
