(22) And Eleazar died, and had no sons.--Thus his house merged in that of the sons of Kish, who married his daughters according to the Law (Numbers 36:6-9). The sons of Mahli, then, were represented in David's day by the house of Kish. (See 1Chronicles 24:29.)Verse 22. - Their brethren... took them; i.e. their kinsmen, as margin, "took them" to wife (Numbers 36:5-12).
